Our first stop is Khamlia village, a small village famous for traditional Gnawa music. You can meet local musicians, enjoy their music, and learn more about the culture of the people who live in the Sahara. We then continue to visit a local nomad family living near the desert. This visit gives you the chance to learn about their simple way of life and how families have lived in the Sahara for generations.
After the visit, we continue through the desert and the surrounding oasis areas. Depending on the season, we may also visit the seasonal lake near Merzouga, where you can sometimes see different birds. We then return to Merzouga for lunch and some free time.
The afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the desert atmosphere. If you want more adventure, you can choose an optional quad bike ride or 4×4 desert excursion across the dunes.
